Sports Wall of Honor

The first class of Phelps County athletes was inducted into the Phelps County Wall of Honor the evening of the Swedish Supper in June. Because this was the inaugural class, several persons were honored. Five gentlemen whose names were well known throughout the area in softball or baseball received recognition for their promotion and participation in their sports. Two living former athletes, one male and one female, were also honored. An entire basketball team also has their picture on the wall.

In the spring of each year the nominating form will be available for future additions to the wall. The guidelines for selection have been established and will be published and available at that time also.

There are three ways to access the sports room. Two sets of stairs, one at the front of the military room, and one behind the farm machinery, lead visitors to the sports room. If climbing stairs is a problem, there is an elevator near the back of the farm machinery room. Staff will be happy to escort anyone to the room via the elevator.
