"Wars are never won by battles. It's what follows wars and comes from the hearts and minds of the participants that shape history, Camp Atlanta was a perfect example of that, yet was almost lost to us because we didn't realize its importance." Glenn Thompson
author of Prisoners on the Plains

Glenn Thompson is an independent humanities scholar living in the small Nebraska town of Holdrege. He is a 1951 graduate of the University of Nebraska at Kearney, and an alumni member of the Mortar Board Society. Thompson enlisted for four years in the U. S. Air Force, spent three years as a radio announcer, and then seventeen in the insurance business.
Following severe health problems, he retired to part time enterprises including advertising and audio visual production. He now has three programs available through the Speakers Bureau of the Nebraska Humanities Council. Writing has long been his favorite pastime. In 1992 his first book, Cars I Have Owned and Other Financial Disasters, was published.
