What’s goin’ on? The Nebraska Prairie Museum is hoppin’ and boppin’ with movies, inventions and a real life Oregon Trail covered wagon driver.

Join us for “Young Mr. Lincoln,” a story about Abe Lincoln, starring Nebraska-born actor, Henry Fonda. That’s March 15th at 7:30 in the museum meeting room.

Then get ready to see young inventors show their cool new ideas at the 27th annual Invention Convention, hosted by Educational Service Unit #11. The students and their inventions will be at the museum on March 22nd.

If you haven’t heard of Rinker Buck, you’re missing out on a great pioneer re-enactment experience. Rinker Buck is a journalist from New England who decided to try his hand at the pioneer experience. He drove a team of mules pulling a covered wagon over the 2000 mile Oregon Trail. Mr. Buck wrote about his experience in his book, “Oregon Trail,” which is a New York Times Best Seller. He’ll be speaking at the Nebraska Prairie Museum on May 3rd at 7:30 pm.
