A new red leather set of couch and two chairs just arrived at the Nebraska Prairie Museum. The furniture was originally in the office of Bill Richards, president of the First Security Bank of Holdrege. When Bill retired, a young high school student asked to buy the leather set, and she and some of her high school friends loaded it up and brought it to her parents’ basement for a “rec room.”
Now she has grown up and moved to the northlands of the United States. Her parents, Don and Pat Bakke decided to donate this cool leather furniture to the museum. Now it sits proudly in the breezeway between the Town Square and the Schrock addition.
Come and relax, talk, read a magazine and enjoy the comfort of the Nebraska Prairie Museum in our new/old leather couch and chairs.
