Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon

Lunch and Entertainment

People love to volunteer at the Nebraska Prairie Museum. Some volunteers file news clippings and compile historical records for the Don Lindgren Genealogy Library. Some build cabinets, signs and displays. Some repair roofs, paint walls and porch railings, rebuild fences and mow the museum lawns.

There are things to do all over the 10 acres and 65,000 square feet of display space at the museum. Not to mention the one-room school house, the Anderson farm house and the beautiful country church. Did I mention cleaning all this stuff? Some are paid staff, and some are volunteers, but they all get along like a big family, keeping the museum clean and beautiful.

Thirty-seven volunteers enjoyed the museum honor luncheon for these faithful workers on November 15 with sandwiches and chicken noodle soup, made by staff member Lana Nicollen. Lana and her husband Michael also provided music for the group.

Thank you, Lana, Mike, and the volunteers and staff of the Nebraska Prairie Museum. We’re a big, happy family!
