Back to Black and White

KHOL-TV (signifying Kearney, Holdrege TV) was the first rural television station in the country. Started by Dr. F. Wayne Brewster, the station went on the air on Christmas eve of 1953. The station is now NTV, still located east of Axtell where the station began.

Stories of the live programming and on-air hi-jinx are documented in the display, featuring cameraman/handyman Bob Stolz, and weatherman/on-air personality Moe Milliken, both from Holdrege.
